About Hable One

The Hable One is compatible with the following devices:  

  • iPhones with iOS version 11 and above,
  • Android smartphones version 11 and above,
  • iPad, Blindshell Classic 2
  • For laptops and computers, only typing is supported.

We do not support screenreaders like Jawz or NVDA. 

The Hable One is 10 cm or 4 inches in length and 5 cm or 2 inches in width.

For reference, the iPhone 7 is 16 cm or 6.2 inches in length and 8 cm or 3.1 cm in width.

Hable offers support for more than 10 languages. Should your preferred language not be listed, we encourage you to contact us, and we will ensure to add them.

The languages currently supported include:

  • English (UEB & AEB)
  • German
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Dutch
  • Icelandic
  • Finnish

Hable One is meant only for typing and navigating on your phone. It’s an input device.

You hear your text or actions via the audio of the phone/ tablet or earphones if you have these connected.

Hable One is made from recycled ABS plastic which is durable and long lasting.

Hable One has haptic feedback to indicate battery levels. Battery level shortcut command indicates if the battery is low, sufficient or high by vibrating once, twice or thrice.

Hable One uses Bluetooth Low Energy (5.1) for reliable and fast connection up to 5 meters from the connected device.

Users do not experience delays between typing speeds and the audio of the screen reader.

Most users report a minor learning curve, and they start enjoying the Hable very quickly.

However, the Hable One is unique in that it allows you to type while standing up. This keyboard layout can take some time to get used to for some users.

Like anything though, your speed and comfort with the device will increase with use.

We provide software updates via the Hable app on iOS and Android. With these software updates, we make sure your Hable One stays up to date.

You certainly do. There is no more need for speech-to-text and you can use your phone completely privately wherever you are.

Pro tip: turn on your screen curtain and you can work in complete privacy.

To control your phone using the Hable One, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your Hable One.
  2. Hold the 'h' key to activate the home screen.
  3. Navigate to the passcode field and enter your passcode.
  4. Proceed to send a message or perform other tasks.

Do keep in mind that the Hable One only does the input. You still need the audio from either your phone or your headphones. Most of our customers do not touch the phone at all when they are on the road!

The Hable can withstand some water, specifically light rain, but it is not built to survive being fully soaked. We do not recommend soaking your Hable, and we do not guarantee it will work after being soaked.

About Hable Easy

Physically, the Hable One and Hable Easy are the same device (i.e., the hardware), but they are programmed differently.

The Hable One uses a combination of buttons to control over 200 functions, often based on Braille, while the Hable Easy has only eight functions, with each button assigned to a single function and no button combinations, making it much simpler to use.

Hable Easy is especially beneficial for seniors and individuals with visual or motor impairments.

It simplifies smartphone use with easy-to-press buttons and eliminates the complexity of touchscreens.

Yes, Hable Easy is compatible with all Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, allowing you to use it across multiple devices seamlessly.

Hable Easy connects wirelessly via Bluetooth, providing a reliable and secure connection without the need for cables or complicated setup.

The setup is simple and only needs to be done once. After connecting via Bluetooth, your Hable Easy will remain connected without requiring further adjustments.

Yes, Hable Easy uses Bluetooth Low Energy, allowing you to connect multiple devices, such as Bluetooth hearing aids, without interference.

Yes, Hable Easy is designed with large, customizable buttons, making it ideal for individuals with varying levels of dexterity. You can customize the duration of pressing the buttons, so accidental tapping does not result in issues.

General Questions

We offer 1 year warranty in situations where damage to the device is not caused by accident, water or any other way.

Warranty is covered only incase of faulty components. Repair to the device is possible.

We have a 30 return period where you can return your product and get a full refund if there are no damages to the product.
